These last couple of months I have found myself living fully in the paradox of life. I have been preparing and celebrating new life possibilities with moving abroad with my beautiful family, as well as preparing for my beloved cat (of 16 years) Romeo’s transition into the spirit world. I have been dreaming of the adventures ahead and gathering what I treasure while also saying goodbye to my family and friends and I have been creating a new online business while dissolving my current flourishing in person practice I have worked so hard to cultivate.

The paradox is that in which encompasses all, as both the dark and the light, existing in one current state. Although these conflicting feelings can feel overwhelming and exhausting there is a special kind of magic that lives in the in between spaces as well as a whole,if only you take a moment to observe and acknowledge it. For me, its a reminder on how full life truly is. Although the dark spaces in life like sadness, may feel like they are “bad” it’s these moments that help to bring light in where its needed. Rumi once said, “The wound is where the light enters.”

When the time came to help transition my dear cat companion my heart broke and yet I was still equally happy for our upcoming move. I was reminded multiple times that it was alright for me to feel both. And isn’t that the truth?! My first feeling when feeling these contrasting emotions was guilt and I needed that reminder that it was ok to feel it all. When we allow ourselves to feel all of it simultaneously we can feel our connection to the universe. We are the light, dark, the sun, the moon, the earth, the sky, the good, the bad. None of it is separate rather, we are all of it.

Next time you find yourself living strongly in the paradox of life remind yourself life and death are interconnected. When one thing dies off another is being born. That is the alchemy of life. Feel your power and connect to the magic of the paradox of life.

I’d love to hear from you. Please comment below!
